An Open Letter To Our Clients

Dear Valued Clients, 

First of all, we hope you are all are staying safe and healthy at this time!  We are all dealing with the uncertainty of what this pandemic will bring, how long it will last, and how things will be after this has all passed.  Like everyone, we don’t have a crystal ball, so we are taking it day by day and following the guidance of our health care professionals and government. 

As far as real estate is concerned, we wanted to assure you that we are still here working for you!  We have had to make changes to our business in the past week or so to ensure we are not putting ourselves or others at unnecessary risk. We are leveraging the technology we’ve already been using such as video/virtual tours, FaceTime/video showings, digital signatures for all paperwork, encouraging clients to sanitize everything before and after showings, and ensuring all buyers scheduling viewings are qualified.  This has and will continue to allow us to keep things moving as smoothly as it can.  

The market continues to show some activity, but as expected, things have slowed down considerably. We are still seeing new listings come on the market daily, and a few sales coming in, but feel those are from deals that were active prior to or early on during the pandemic.  Some buyers and sellers, understandably, have opted to hold off on their move for the time being.  Locally I expect the next few weeks of activity will consist of those who have already sold, and absolutely need to buy something with the usual “spring rush” be pushed back a couple of months provided we see some improvements due to people social distancing/self-isolating.  

We will continue to send out weekly updates on the market moving forward so you can stay up to date with how the pandemic is affecting things.   

For our sellers,  please advise us if you would like to continue to allow showings to qualified buyers or Facetime/video showings.  If not, we are happy to hold all activity on your listing until things have settled down a bit.   

For our buyers, we will continue to send you any new listings that come on the market.  For any viewings, we’ll need to respect the seller’s wishes in regards to how/when they’d like to accommodate any showings. We’d also be happy to set up video/FaceTime walkthroughs for you to get a preview of any new listings. 

Please know that our phones are still on and we are still working as hard as we can for you during this time, given the circumstances.
